the jigs worked unbelievably well. In short the
3oz/90 gm Baby Squid Lure accounted for the
following results over 3 days.
- 1
x 10kg yellowtail kingfish at 4 knot
troll.
- 20
plus kahawhai (sea salmon to about 3 kgs)
cast-wait-speed retrieve.
- 5
reasonable sized red snapper, plus one goodie to
about 4.5kgs on bottom jig/bounce.
- 1
hit by abacore at 7 knts - flat long corner.
Dropped it. May have been yellowfin but think
probably albacore.
Overall
impression is that these babies are incredibly
versatile: troll, cast, drop and speed retrieve.
Also they look damn cool. Very, very impressed.
